Had another New York first today- a subway delay...
We were racing along just like normal when all of a sudden we stop and the conductor comes over a loud speaker and says we are delayed and then the engine shuts down and we sit and everyone gets so so grumpy.
Despite warnings to never look at people in the subway, I looked around me and tried to determine from whom the first drama would come if we continued to sit there. Who, like Felicity and Julie on the show, would work out their personal problems through a guitar and song and the help of fellow disgruntled passengers?
I was also keeping a lookout for the creepy underground lurkers that they showin that episode of "Felicity"- I was just waiting for one with a pale pale face to lurk right by my window. But alas, I saw only grafiti.
And then after a mere minute or 2 of all of these racing thoughts about the exciting events that might await in the time we were stuck underground, the train started moving again and Eric and I took our most recent purchases out of the subway station and into Columbus Circle, where we were greeted with the sun for the first time since we've been here. No blue sky yet- OH WAIT- now's it's blue sky!!! And it's not even humid!!! Oh man that's the greatest.....
