It turns out that you can watch some of Broadway Backwards (Monday night's Broadway extravaganza) here.
If you watch really carefully, you can see Paul flapping his arms around and maybe even a glimpse of Eric toot-toot-tooting away.
Enjoy!

Well look at you, Mr. Fancy Broadway Pants
Soooooo, Monday was Eric's big Broadway trombone man debut.
Here's some proof!

You know, just an ordinary Monday night- watching my cute little husband and Ho Ho and Chris Kong play for the biggest Broadway stars. Yeah, that's not cool or anything...
I was so proud of those boys- look how far we have come: from solo class in Faye Spanos to the Great White Way, performing with (ok, well, watching) Florence Henderson, Whoopi Goldberg, Sandra Bernhard, Mario Cantone, Alan Cumming, Jai Rodriguez, Becki Newton, Maureen McGovern, Michael Urie...ok that's enough name dropping, but you get the idea. This was the big time.

AND the best part was that every time the MC was on stage Eric was right in the spotlight! So, basically, he was the star. Duh.
So- playing on Broadway? Let's just go ahead and check that one right off the list.
Done and done.

Obsessed With Baby
Boy, I have got to tell you- being a parent is EXHAUSTING. And, crazy enough, I don't even have a real baby! I have a kitten! But, she is as high maintenance as kittens come, I bet.
We had a bit of a scare last week when the poor princess came down with the world's worst kitten cold and we were suddenly faced with the choice of spending almost a month's rent on her hospitalization or turning her back over to the shelter and crossing our fingers, shaking salt over our shoulders, and spitting on the ground for luck. Seeing as how we actually aren't made of money, we (very tearfully, very dramatically) brought her back to the shelter, and went for Option B. (Ok, Eric brought her back. I was too much of a wreck. Hence the title of this post, and the exhausting parenting comment...)
I was and still am amazed at how attached I became to her in just a few short days- suddenly I could not possibly imagine a life on this earth without my own Princess Tuck in it. I refused to see any other possibility. It was just too tragic for me (and, hence the drama of taking her back to the shelter.)
So, after a week of worry and missing her and being sad, we were able to get the poor sick baby back. She's doing a lot better- just a lot of snot and sniffles- and is back to her old self (eating like an absolute pig, purring like a maniac, running around like a madwoman). But I am still always worried about her!
I can't imagine what it must be like to have children- from the worry to always having/wanting to pay attention to her to her constant need for love (and food)- this is only a preview of what's to come in the next stage of our life. This is teaching Eric and I a lot about many of our own tendencies such as discipline standards and what it's like to have our attention turned to something that's not each other. This is not always the easiest road to walk down, but we are incredibly grateful that the Tuckster is back and are trying to learn as much as possible from raising this very needy little kit-cat.
Ok- I realize that the last 3 posts now have been entirely about a cat that no one has even met so that puts me in the category of baby-brain, mommy-blogger, and crazy-cat-woman so I will try to write about something else next time. I have to say though, not too much exciting is happening around here. Aside from the standard VP antics at work (and, no, I'm not dumb enough to blog about them. Tempting though it may be. You'll have to ask me over a margarita some other time) and the constant longing to be able to go outside and hang out at Beer Island, life is pretty business as usual. I will keep my eyes and ears open for the funniest in NYC stories though- and that's a promise!
